Felt like a pick-me-up before gym. Love Gong Cha's green tea with milk foam and tapioca. The guy very seriously explained the three ways of drinking it: just the tea, just the topping, then all mixed!
So tired today, didn't feel like adventuring when I noticed Peko Cise had a "lunch takeout sign" - beef fried in garlic sauce, with a beautiful salad, so fresh and with a light vinaigrette. 800 yen? Bargain.

日本酒は以下 Emi Machida is a female master sake brewer, who has won gold prize seven times at the National Sake Awards! She leads the brewing process at Machida Brewery in Gunma Prefecture to the north of Tokyo. She's such an accomplished brewer she even has her own Wikipedia page in English. Tonight I was lucky enough to meet her briefly! Here she is holding one of her sake, Omachi Junmaiginjo 55 Jikagumi namazake - that's a sake made with purely Omachi rice and water, and unpasteurised. It's fruity, lightly sweet but not overly so, measuring -2 on the sake meter value (nihonshu-do) And it was by far the most delicious sake I tried this evening 😍 町田恵美さんは群馬県にある町田酒造の杜氏!国新酒鑑評会で金賞を7回に受賞した!能力が高い杜氏だから、英語でも個人のウィキペディアページがある。今晩は恵美さんと少し話すちゃんすがあった。この写真に雄町純米吟醸55直汲み生酒を持っている。フルティなジューシーな酒、日本酒度−2。今晩色々な酒を飲んでみたが、やっぱりこれが1番美味しかった!😍
One of my favourite bakeries - Jean Francois - has opened in the brand new Hibiya Midtown! The bread they use for the open top sandwiches is delicious - texture and taste both spot on. I particularly appreciated the mushrooms with the cheese and ham. Then, a cinnamon roll - hard to go too wrong with that - and a Hibiya-limited cream roll, with a slightly sour, yeasty dough that contrasted brilliantly with the cream. The only problem was the coffee - it's a drink bar set up, so you can have as much as you want, but I couldn't finish one cup!
